KINSEY ARCHITECTURE

This home is a contemporary interpretation of a ranch house, which is common throughout the southwest. It is inspired by the surrounding ranch land and historic mining towns that are nearby. The plan wraps a central courtyard with the deep porches defined by projecting shed roofs. The playful assembly of weathered materials and forms creates a "found object" appearance. However; the high attention to detail & composition belies the fact that this architecture is an outstanding example of Contemporary Regionalism.
