KINSEY ARCHITECTURE
|
The program was for a three bedroom, two and half bath residence with a three car garage. The entry is defined by a circular tower which is the tallest element of the front facade. From the entry there is a descending order of hierarchy, with the public areas (living room, dining room) having the highest ceilings, descending down to lower ceiling heights in the more intimate private areas (bedrooms, bathrooms) of the home. This provides a rational way to read the architecture, much as one reads a book. The facade should inform the viewer of the spaces beyond.
